My Favourite Music Video
One of my favourite music videos must be the one for Hozier's 'Work Song'. Despite usually not being the biggest fan of performance-based music videos, I really like this particular one. Its uniqueness is what makes it so appealing: it's not just the performing artist, there is an 'artsy' element to it; the camerawork and the lighting are used very well to match the tone of the song. There isn't much cutting to the beat: the main focus of the video seems to be not to strictly match the music, but rather to convey emotions, which can clearly be seen both on the artist's face as well as on those of the dancers. Additionally, I just really like the style of this video: rather slow, but in a good, melancholic sense and the uniqueness of the idea itself.
